Superintendent warns state budget delay and reminds district of Oct. 1 Count Day rules

DiPonio also reviewed Count Day procedures ahead of Oct. 1, 2025: the district’s review noted that an excused absence on Count Day allows up to 30 days for the student to return and still be counted for funding, while an unexcused absence allows 10 days to be counted. Board members asked clarifying questions about contingency planning should the state budget be delayed; no formal fiscal action was taken at the meeting.
