"We're doing a downtown, splash on main community event," Joanna said during public comment, and she told the commission the requested hours are 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The commission had a motion to approve Resolution 2026-093; the motion was made and seconded and the roll-call vote recorded Commissioners Burhan, Rodriguez, Perez and Mayor Roberts voting "Yes," carrying the resolution. City staff confirmed the street department can assist with the closure and event logistics.
The resolution authorizes the temporary closure for the stated date and hours; the commission adjourned after completing the vote. No conditions or fees were specified on the record.
