Commissioner Bobby Couch presented Resolution 111824087 in committee to authorize a payout tied to an employee retirement and to provide funds for seven days of training for the incoming staff member. Couch described the measure as coming from the finance committee and framed the training as part of transition costs. "This is, an amendment for a payout for an employee that's retiring, in finance committee, and it also includes some money for time to train a new employee," Couch said as he introduced the resolution.
The motion was seconded (Roberts) and adopted by voice vote; the chair recorded the tally as 24–0 in favor. The resolution directs Finance to process the payout and schedule training; the commission asked for follow-up reporting to the budget committee once the training is complete.
