Comstock board approves agenda and consent items, including four hires and three resignations

The Comstock Board of Education approved a revised meeting agenda and then a consent agenda at its Aug. 11, 2025, regular meeting, with both motions passing unanimously, 7-0 (motion to approve agenda: Poulson/Brown; motion to approve consent agenda: Poulson/Brown).

The consent agenda included the July 28, 2025 meeting minutes and personnel items. The minutes list four new hires: June Gothberg, SE Teacher Consultant (Administration); Sierra Knight, Kindergarten Teacher (Comstock Elementary School); Ashley Lint, SE Social Worker (CELA); and Angela Morrison, Resource Room Teacher (CES). Three resignations were listed: Hannah Green, 5th Grade Teacher (CES); Ashley Mann, 2nd Grade Teacher (STEM); and Ryan St. John, Functional Room Teacher (CHS). The minutes do not specify start dates, salary information, or the reason for the resignations.

Board members present for the votes included Pamela Dickinson (President), Matt Schreiner (Vice President), Paul Lamphear (Treasurer), Saralyn Brown (Secretary), Richard Hathaway, Hillary Cook and Kristie Poulson. Recording Secretary Megan Amsbury noted all members were present at roll call.

The board closed the consent-agenda portion of the meeting without additional debate. The minutes list the district's mission statement at the end of the record: "The mission of Comstock Public Schools is to serve our community by empowering, inspiring, and challenging every person within the school district to reach their full potential, and to ensure all students learn and thrive in a safe and healthy environment."
