The Gonzales City Council approved the consent agenda by voice vote on Aug. 3 after a short discussion about the warrants.
A council member questioned a large payment to Auto Construction and whether it represented the final payment to close out the project. City staff responded that the payment is “one of the very last ones” and that some additional small items remain but many are being handled under warranty. Staff offered to follow up with the exact remaining balance off the dais.
The motion to approve the consent agenda was moved and seconded and carried on a voice vote with members saying “aye.” The council did not take further action on the construction closeout at that meeting.
