Commission approves three District 8 rezonings after planning commission recommendation

The Robertson County Commission voted to approve three separate rezoning requests in District 8 on Dec. 16, 2024, following unanimous recommendations from the county planning commission.
Planning staff presented Resolution 121624097 (Mark Cox: 1 acre from AG-2 to R-40 at 6255 Crawford Store Road), Resolution 121624098 (Keith Griswold: 2 acres from AG-2 to R-40 at 6757 Lehi Cook Road) and Resolution 121624099 (Jason Christo: 3 acres from AG-2 to R-40 at 4216 Roy Cole Road). Planning staff member Hunter summarized the proposals, saying, "Mark's just trying to get in compliance because it's only an acre" and noted the planning commission had recommended each by a 6-0 vote.
Chair called for public comment during the hearing and no members of the public came forward to speak. Each resolution was moved, seconded and approved by the commission as recorded by the chair. The approvals will allow the parcels to be used for single-family residential lots consistent with the R-40 zoning designation.
The decisions followed the standard planning-review process: staff presentation, public hearing, a planning commission recommendation and a county commission vote. Commissioners thanked zoning staff for their work in processing the applications and closed the hearing.
