Marquette schools award 2025–26 snow-removal contracts to Enright, Smith and Spodeck

Staff bid tabulations list annual totals (including sanding/salting) of approximately: Marquette Senior High School — Enright Construction, $20,000; Bothwell Middle School — Spodeck Contracting, $17,275; Graveraet Elementary — Spodeck Contracting, $8,720; Cherry Creek Elementary — Spodeck Contracting, $11,575; Sandy Knoll Elementary — Spodeck Contracting, $15,850; Superior Hills Elementary — Spodeck Contracting, $14,000; Vandenboom Alternative High School — Spodeck Contracting, $8,350; Auxiliary Services Bus Garage — Smith Construction, $5,500. Board members asked questions about contractor selection and the possibility of future multi-year contracts during the discussion.
The awards were moved by Trustee Jennifer Klipp and seconded by Trustee Cherryl Maddox-Smith; the motion carried 6–0. Auxiliary Services Director Lloyd Vander Schaaf and Superintendent Zack Sedgwick presented the tabulation and recommendation; the board approved the low bidders as listed.
