Board discusses future of Level Up summer program after grant funding ends

"Dr. Kinzer explained that Level Up was funded with a grant, that is no longer available," the minutes state. Craig Kueffner described how Level Up began, who can participate and the benefits of the program; Dr. Kinzer called it "a high-quality summer program" run by teachers and paraprofessionals but noted it is costly to operate.
Board members asked for additional information and data to evaluate continuing the program in Summer 2026. No final budget decision was made at the meeting; staff were asked to gather the requested information and return with specifics to assist the board’s budget deliberations.
