Board shares school-year dates, community events and a planned ribbon cutting

During the Superintendent’s report the board recorded key Manistee Middle/High School dates for 2025: seniors’ last day on May 8, Honor Night on May 14, and commencement on May 15. The board also noted there will be no July study session per the board schedule.
Under announcements, the board said it is planning a ribbon cutting for Manistee Elementary in partnership with the local Chamber (details to follow), reminded members of the Northern Michigan Schools Legislative Association summer dinner on Aug. 7 in Traverse City and noted work underway to strengthen alumni communications. The meeting was recorded by Lauren Bergeman and approved by Shelley Johnson (Secretary) before adjourning at 7:41 PM.
