Noah Schneider, senior project manager with The Christman Company, told the board there is a delay in opening because of permit issues and that an inspection is still pending. "There is a delay in opening due to permit issues; inspection is still pending," Schneider said. He reported concrete work has been completed to address safety concerns and that extensive bathroom renovations are underway, including an accessible bathroom and shower. Schneider also said office space will include a secured area with a secondary barrier and that classrooms are being refreshed with new paint, updated sinks and toilets, and new tile and fixtures.
The approved pay application is tied to work through July 31, 2025; the board recorded the motion and roll call during the meeting. The board did not add any conditions to the payment during the vote and directed construction staff to continue coordination with district officials on permitting and final inspections.
