Howell board approves $525,000 in landscaping contracts for two elementary schools

The Howell Public Schools Board of Education on Oct. 13 approved two landscaping contracts for elementary schools totaling $525,000.
On a motion from Treasurer Ms. Conn, amended to specify a $280,000 contract, the board approved landscaping work at Northwest Elementary. The board then approved a $245,000 landscaping contract for Southwest Elementary after a separate motion supported by Trustee Mr. Bedford. Both roll call votes were unanimous, 7-0.
Board materials indicated the Bond Oversight Committee reviewed the recommendations on Oct. 10. The board recorded the motions as #2025-127 (Northwest, $280,000) and #2025-128 (Southwest, $245,000). No public comment was recorded on the items at the meeting.
