The Marin County Board of Education conducted the second reading and adopted a set of seven board policies (resolution 1081) that staff characterized as cleanup and required updates.
Staff said changes were largely noncontroversial and necessary to comply with updated requirements. Trustees asked for clarification about program-evaluation timing and the location of a separate cell-phone policy; staff indicated an annual reporting schedule would be provided and that a cell-phone policy would be returned to the board before July 1.
The board conducted a roll-call vote; trustees were individually polled and each responded "Yes," resulting in adoption of the resolution at the meeting.
