Summary
Building and Zoning Director Reed told supervisors the department issued 67 permits in July and previewed several items for the upcoming joint planning commission meeting: a 13-unit subdivision requiring Store Road realignment, a 3,400-square-foot addition to the Electronic Musical Instrument Museum, a 22,000-square-foot office proposal, and a Meadowbrook Plaza lot-line adjustment tied to a proposed drive-through restaurant.

Building and Zoning Director Reed said 67 permits were issued in July and previewed a packed upcoming agenda for the joint planning commission meeting, including zoning text and map amendments. Reed identified a proposed zoning amendment for the LPOD overlay and the data-center text/map amendment as adoption items on the next meeting's agenda.
He walked the board through several land-development submissions: a 13-dwelling-unit subdivision at 85 Township Line Road that would require realigning Store Road and a zoning change because minimum-lot-size rules otherwise apply; a 3,400-square-foot addition and parking changes for the Electronic Musical Instrument Museum at 45 Mainland Road; a 22,000-square-foot office building proposed for 272 Ruth Road with no access off Clemens Road and existing evergreen buffers to be retained; and a Meadowbrook Plaza lot-line adjustment to convey 2.5 acres to enable a 5,600-square-foot drive-through restaurant. Reed noted sketch-plan limitations on landscaping and explained the steps required before each plan can proceed to land-development approvals.
