The Saginaw Township Board of Education convened a special meeting April 7 at the Arrowwood Conference Center, adopting the agenda and approving the minutes of the March 17 regular and P3 meetings. All routine procedural motions were carried by roll call vote of board members present; David Jaffe was absent.
The board approved an out-of-state field trip for Heritage High School DECA students to Orlando, Florida (April 25–30, 2025). In the Human Resources portion of the agenda the board adopted motions to expel two students — Student A for "Instigating" and Student B for "Fighting" — both characterized as Level IV violations of the White Pine Middle School Student Code of Conduct. The minutes state each student may petition the Superintendent Level Hearing Committee for reinstatement for the 2025–2026 school year by the second week of July 2025.
No members of the public spoke during the meeting; the session lasted from 8:39 p.m. to 8:47 p.m. and adjourned after the board’s final procedural motion.
