He reminded families that parent-teacher conferences were scheduled for the coming Thursday from 1–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. Bowen reported state testing is ongoing and administrators are converting the district strategic plan into annual goals focused on Climate and Culture and Growth and Sustainability.
Bowen also summarized the district's recent Art Attack community event, noting K–12 student work and performances and recognition for the robotics team following the World Tournament in Houston. He said organizers estimated roughly 10–20 visitors per hour during the event. Bowen announced the final Bullying Task Force meeting of the year to review data and next steps, and he noted a Vive 18 cannabis-education presentation for students in grades 5–12 scheduled for Friday, made possible by financial support from Bloomery Cannabis and other local cannabis vendors; the Cannabis Committee will meet after the event to review and determine next steps.
