Chair reviewed a new cleaning plan for park bathrooms and asked staff how weekend coverage will work. Several board members and volunteers said renters are expected to clean bathrooms after use, but multiple examples were cited where rented pavilions were left messy. One meeting participant who had cleaned a pavilion after a graduation event described finding water on the floor, scattered toilet paper and bird droppings.
The board discussed options: require renters to pay at booking and make fees nonrefundable if canceled on short notice, or outsource Saturday morning cleaning and raise rental prices to cover weekend staff. "If we have somebody who's renting it Saturday and we know that, is there any way somebody could just swing out there and make sure it's in good shape?" Clerk asked. The board agreed to test a schedule of morning park checks (including Fridays) during peak season and to bring a formal reservation-fee proposal back to a future meeting for decision.
