"Generators are an eligible item, the generator for city hall is undersized, it won't run all of the building, the one at the McGarity Pump Station is old, has a lot of problems," staff said in the presentation, and reported preliminary quotes that put the city's 25% matching share around $60,000. Council moved and approved the resolution unanimously.
Staff cautioned the quoted match is an estimate from vendor quotes and may change; if awarded, replacement purchases might not occur in the current budget year. The resolution authorizes staff to submit applications and to pursue grant funding but does not by itself commit immediate purchase until awards and procurement processes are completed.
