Recreation staff used the meeting to introduce the full recreation team and spotlight individual roles. Staff identified Maggie as the Park Place program coordinator (about 14 years of service), Josh as Cawley Creek recreation coordinator, Dylan overseeing concerts and movies in the park, and Corinne as the special events planner.
The committee also acknowledged that Erica is leaving for a new role. Assistant City Manager Chris Haggard said he will serve as interim parks director while the city recruits a replacement: "I will be the interim parks director for however much time it takes to backfill this position." Members thanked Erica for her service and wished her well.
Staff indicated photos and a staff spotlight have been posted online as part of an introduction effort, and committee members praised the department for its visibility and service in the parks.
