Johns Creek staff report rising participation at Park Place and lineup of spring events

Recreation staff told the RPAC that Park Place senior center participation increased from 1,223 in January to 1,511 in February, and that athletics programs and special events are resuming for spring.
"Their total number of participants for January, 1,223 and for February 1511," a recreation staff member reported during the update. Staff also noted Newtown Rec had about 500 winter flag-football participants and highlighted upcoming events including daffodil days, an Easter Bunny Hop at the Boardwalk, adaptive game night, and the Boston Scientific/Johns Creek Chamber 5K.
Staff described smaller programs such as a Collie Creek night hike (45 participants) and a women-only fly-fishing clinic (22 participants) as examples of targeted programming. Committee members asked about volunteer needs and staff confirmed they are still recruiting volunteers for spring events.
