Staff says Newtown Park clubhouse addition will add two offices, keep community access

"Right now, they're we're looking to add basically 2 offices on the where the deck was... The expansion will as well," Haggard said, adding that the facility must remain available for community use and that staff expect to keep the clubhouse rentable for birthday parties and other public uses. Haggard cautioned that construction timing could affect whether the space is used for summer camp this year but said the building itself would remain a community resource.
Committee members asked whether the expanded footprint would reduce camp capacity; Haggard said the intent was to stay within the existing footprint to meet budget and land-disturbance constraints and to avoid a larger expansion that would require greater investment.
