The minutes state: "All but $262,000.00 of dispersed funds were used accordingly. The remaining 2025 funds will be utilized in 2026 towards the upgrade of our phone system allowing LC 911 to tie into the state system in compliance with the NG 9-1-1 initiative." The minutes do not record additional budget votes at this meeting.
The board discussed applying the remaining funds to a phone-system upgrade to meet NG 9-1-1 requirements. The minutes show Director Kurt Scholl as the county 9-1-1 director responsible for filing the federal/state-required report; no additional appropriation or contract award was recorded during the April 7 meeting.
