The police department told the council it responded to 427 calls for service in the past two weeks, including 103 traffic stops. The officer presenting the report said patrol analytics showed 16,284 patrol points and about 1,282 miles of patrol, and that active patrol hours totaled "about 277 hours, 14 minutes 31 seconds." The department also said officers completed a tactical‑medicine class last week.
The presenter encouraged public attendance at National Night Out and noted that traffic enforcement has been strengthened in the village's northeast area. The department said increased enforcement of texting while driving is part of a federal grant the village participates in and that officers take part in an OVI task force focusing on distracted driving, seat belts and OVI enforcement.
