Citizen update: isolated measles case; farmers market display announced

During the citizen-comment portion a resident addressed the council about a measles notification in Lucas, explaining the case was isolated and that county- and school-led protocols had identified and already notified potentially exposed individuals. "The Lucas case was isolated by the time they even knew that it was an actual case that everybody that had an exposed possible exposure had already been notified," the resident said, and praised coordination between the school, county and city staff.
Councilmember Debbie Fisher also used the public-comment period to highlight a Farmers Market exhibit about street names called "Name That Street," inviting residents to attend the market and view the display. The chair thanked speakers and moved to the main agenda item, noting the workshop focus would now begin.
