"The main program featuring youth and students will be the parade of stars where students will decorate, paper or cardboard stars," Amanda said while outlining the school's role and outreach to local schools. Committee members discussed whether students should read passages from founding documents or short quotes; several members recommended short, prescreened quotes for older students to keep logistics manageable and maintain flow. Staff said the Boardwalk stage has ramps on both sides and is fully accessible, which committee members welcomed.
Members asked staff and the school engagement committee to refine participation details — including target ages, prescreening procedures and how speaking slots might be integrated between musical acts. Staff said they will bring recommendations from the school engagement committee back to ACE for further review.
