Dr. Perry says summer programs running well despite flooding; construction on schedule

Dr. Perry reported the district’s summer programs are in their fifth week and running smoothly: "Our summer school programs are are entering their 5th week," he said, noting the K–4 summer academy finished a 16‑day session and that the grades 5–12 program continues through Aug. 20. He said elementary ESY programming will run through the end of that week.
Dr. Perry told the board that recent weather‑related flooding disrupted programming in some neighborhoods but that the district has deployed a family support survey and a Google form to connect affected households with supplies and services. He also provided a construction update: work is underway at Veeder, Vischakill and Sand Creek (the Sand Creek auditorium has been gutted and abatement completed) and specialty wall panels delayed in transit are expected to be installed in mid‑September. Chair (speaker billed as 'Chair') asked no follow‑up questions; the update was informational.
