City manager reports no unmarked graves outside fence, 177 probable burials inside fenced area from GPR

Assistant City Manager Greer briefed the council on the monthly manager's report and highlighted progress across the city's five strategic priorities. In heritage-sensitive work, Greer said the ground-penetrating-radar (GPR) results showed "no evidence of any unmarked graves outside the fenced area and evidence of potentially 177 unmarked probable burial sites inside that fenced area."
Greer also said four probationary firefighters passed the national advanced EMT exam and noted a string of local ribbon cuttings, including Piedmont Cancer Institute and a Whataburger. He provided a status update on multiple road projects, including Abbotts Bridge, Barnwell at Niblec, the Vice Road bridge replacement and median installation on Johns Creek Parkway, noting active utility relocations and testing of recently completed water-line tie-ins.
City staff said these updates reflect routine project delivery and that they remain available to answer council questions about scheduling and next steps.
