The Albany Area Schools Board of Education on June 11 adopted a resolution accepting multiple community donations and approved a consent agenda covering personnel changes and routine financial items.
Member Rueter introduced the donation resolution accepting gifts that included $2,000 from the Albany Lions, $750 from the Albany Area Fishing Team and several $500 contributions; the board recorded votes in favor from Hansen, Sands, Henkelman, Ronning and Rueter. The consent agenda approved hiring actions including Megan Gaebel as ELC ECFE teacher and transfers such as Anne Hoeschen from ALE 1st grade teacher to ALE interventionist. The board also recorded several resignations, including Matthew Abraham, Coordinator of Building Maintenance, effective June 13, 2025, and retirements including Director of Business Services Sue Clemen, revised effective date August 31, 2025.
Financial detail accompanying the consent agenda listed expenditures across funds: General Fund $1,136,172.13; Food Services $64,832.67; Community Services $65,990.18; Building Construction $154,865.10. Member Rueter moved to approve the June 2025 consent agenda and the motion was supported by all present.
