Public Works Technician Jeff Patterson told the council on July 7 that a City Chevrolet requires a transmission replacement and presented an estimate. The council asked staff to obtain additional quotes, and Council Member Blake McMillan moved to approve up to $6,600 from the budget for the replacement once the appropriate estimates are received; Council Member Arthur Keckley seconded. The motion carried unanimously, 4-0.
Patterson also distributed a Georgia Department of Natural Resources report on the fish population of Tom's Pond to council members. Separately, Patterson invited citizen Doc Wade to raise a nuisance issue at 106 Pine Circle; the council agreed to proceed with nuisance reporting and remediation process for that property.
