Council assigns R-15 zoning to newly annexed parcels under Ordinance 130
Summary
Lake Park adopted Ordinance No. 130 to assign an R-15 (Single-Family Residential) zoning classification to the parcels annexed under Case LP-2026-01. The zoning ordinance passed unanimously after council discussion and presentation from SGRC.
On July 7 the Lake Park City Council voted to adopt Zoning Ordinance No. 130, classifying the annexed parcels (Case LP-2026-01) as R-15, a single-family residential designation. Council Member Blake McMillan moved to adopt the zoning ordinance and Council Member Arthur Keckley seconded; the motion carried unanimously, 3-0.
The zoning adoption followed a presentation from James of the Southern Georgia Regional Commission and consideration of the Planning Commission's recommendation. The classification will govern permitted uses and development standards on the parcels once annexation is effective.
