Lake Park council adopts Ordinance 129 to annex two parcels into city limits

The Lake Park City Council voted on July 7 to adopt Annexation Ordinance No. 129, bringing Parcels 0221C 002 and 0221C 003 into the city's corporate limits as part of Case LP-2026-01. Council Member Blake McMillan moved to adopt the ordinance and Council Member Arthur Keckley seconded; the motion carried unanimously, 3-0.
James from the Southern Georgia Regional Commission presented the final annexation materials and the council discussed the Planning Commission's recommendation prior to the vote. The annexation was presented and recorded as part of the same agenda item that included zoning consideration for the parcels; those zoning details were adopted separately under Ordinance No. 130.
