Nanette Familson, class adviser at Mesulonsky High School, told the board she and students are organizing a junior-class auction to raise money for Project Grad. “We are doing it on March 21,” Familson said, and added that tickets would be available at the door.
Sherry Mather, a teacher representing the Empty Bowls Club, invited the public to an event on the 27th that she said has run for about 20 years. “If you come, we have dinner of soup, dessert, salads, and you leave with a bowl that the students have made,” Mather said. Both speakers encouraged attendance and distributed flyers to board members to share with their communities.
