Commissioners OK Magis advisory agreement, change orders and consulting contract for sanitary and construction work

During the April 7 session the commissioners approved a suite of contracts and change orders. Resolution 26-206 authorized a service agreement with Magis Advisory Group (Cleveland) to provide voluntary employee benefit election options for county employees effective April 7, 2026; the contract is terminable by either party with ten business days' written notice. The resolution was adopted unanimously.
The board also approved Change Order No. 1 to Cavalry Mechanical (Res. 26-207) adding $5,430 for waterproofing and added equipment for the 911 HVAC project, and Change Order No. 1 to S. A. Comunale (Res. 26-208) adding $6,430 for anti‑vortex strainers and adjusting the contract completion date for the Justice Center cooling towers project. In addition, Res. 26-209 approved a consulting services agreement with K.E. McCartney & Associates for sanitary engineering services not to exceed $125,000 in 2026. Resolution 26-210 authorized the Solid Waste Management District to obtain a county credit card with a $5,000 limit for authorized district expenses. All items passed by unanimous vote.
