Board President Hugo Torres opened two consecutive public hearings on initial proposals exchanged between the San Mateo County Educators Association (SMCEA) and the Superintendent relating to the Classification and Compensation Study. No members of the public spoke during either hearing, and Torres declared both hearings closed.
The hearings were procedural steps in the negotiations process; no substantive bargaining actions were taken at the meeting and staff will continue negotiations outside the public hearing format.
