Jeff (S4) reported survey work is complete for a possible donation of property to the district from a church and that closing was expected near the end of the month. He said the church's bylaws require donations be made to another church, but that the state Attorney General's office was allowing an amendment that could permit transfer to the district.
Jeff summarized outstanding steps: finalization by both sides' counsel, addressing title-transfer issues, and arranging for utilities to be transferred to district responsibility. "They're, they will close on the 31st. So and then we'll be booking their counsel and our counsel are still finalizing because, their bylaws stipulate must be donated to another church, but the attorney general's office is allowing some amendment," Jeff said. The item was reported for information; the transcript does not show a formal board vote authorizing acceptance of the donation at this meeting.
