County Office recognizes Lihua Yang as October Employee of the Month

Board President Hugo Torres recognized Lihua Yang, Educational Data Analyst in Research and Systems Planning, Center for Learning Analytics, Educational Services Division, as the October 2025 Employee of the Month. The Board honored Yang on behalf of the San Mateo County Office of Education during the Oct. 22 meeting.
The recognition was ceremonial; no action was required to confer the honor. The board adjourned later in the evening in memory of William "Bill" Burns Jr., a longtime educator honored by members for his decades of service to at-risk students.
