The Utah State Tax Commission adopted amendments to R884-24P-33 on Nov. 21, 2024 to update the percent-good valuation tables county assessors must use when valuing classes of personal property for the 2025 calendar year.
Commissioner Rebecca L. Rockwell described the rule's purpose and moved to adopt the amendment; the Commission approved the motion unanimously. The rule requires that any deviation affecting an entire class or type of personal property be documented in a written report and submitted to the Commission for approval prior to use.
The amendment updates percent-good schedules that county assessors must follow and was published for comment with no public submissions during the comment period ending Nov. 14, 2024.
