Park foundation funds roofs, prescribed burn and nature-center design work

Superintendent Jeremy reported several foundation-funded projects: the Park Foundation approved $17,000 to replace the roof on the maintenance building at Lure, paid for a new restroom roof at the Bath Trailhead, funded invasive-removal work (about $10,000) and paid $5,000 for architectural design work on the nature center. He said materials for the maintenance building roof should arrive soon and that the Foundation is also funding a planned fall prescribed burn of the prairie.
"They approved, dollars 17,000 to replace the roof over here on the maintenance building, at Lure here," Jeremy said. He added that materials for the Bath Trailhead restroom roof were covered by the Foundation and that construction and deck work for a pond observation area will be completed in house. Board members were also asked to help recruit volunteers for Pioneer Days.
