LVGEA presents strategic plan to Henderson council, cites $1,535 return per dollar

Danielle Casey, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance, told the Henderson City Council that LVGEA is working with the Governor's Office of Economic Development and local partners to diversify Southern Nevada’s economy.
"So that's about $1,535 for each dollar invested," Casey said, describing LVGEA's reported return on the region's investment in economic development activities. She outlined LVGEA support for site-selectors, trade shows and regional tools such as southernnevadasites.com and said the organization's three-year strategic plan aims to move the market's "Hackman index" — a measure of industry diversity — from about 74 toward the mid-70s.
Casey described program work that included leading the BIO International convention, expanding regional asset inventories and preparing companies for statutory abatement reviews. She said LVGEA is part-funded by the state's economic development office and community partners and will host the site selectors guild in early 2027 to bring national consultants to the region.
The presentation emphasized pipeline and workforce analytics available to municipal partners and invited residents to sign up for LVGEA's newsletters and pipeline reports. Council members responded with praise for the organization's work and its reported economic impact.
