The Grama (Grand) Foundation told the Board it awarded just under $370,000 to 23 local nonprofits for 2024, allocating about 66% to health and human services, 16% to education and 15% to environmental projects. Megan Ladin, executive director, introduced Amy Huber, grants manager, who described the process and listed key awards: Headwaters Trails Alliance ($50,000), Mind Springs ($35,000), and an off‑cycle award to Grand County Rural Health Network ($20,000). "We awarded just under 370,000 to 23 non profits," Huber said.
The foundation also reviewed a $100,000 childcare stipend program for early childhood providers and a $250,000 allocation to help with property‑tax hardship. To date roughly $83,969 has been awarded from the tax relief pot. Commissioners gave direction for the foundation to advertise the donor‑advised fund application process and to finalize exact amounts later in the week; several commissioners urged continuing the childcare stipend in 2025 and asked the foundation to coordinate outreach to alert likely applicants.
