Hillsborough board approves Modern home at 8 Reynolds Court, requires construction parking plan and material consistency

The Town of Hillsborough Architecture and Design Review Board approved design review for a new Modern two‑story residence at 8 Reynolds Court on May 4, 2026, subject to standard conditions and staff recommendations.

Architect Alex Mortazavi presented the proposal for a roughly 5,421.65‑square‑foot primary structure on a 21,751‑square‑foot lot and showed material samples and plans. Neighbor Tom Maloney raised concerns about construction parking on the short, narrow cul‑de‑sac and about noise from pool equipment; Mortazavi said the team "will submit a parking plan to the Building Department as a normal requirement for Building submittal," and staff said a robust parking plan and a material delivery schedule will be required because of the narrow roadway. Director Anderson confirmed staff will require neighbor outreach during construction.

Board members praised the design while asking for renderings that clarify materials on the sides and rear. The Board conditioned approval on consistency of materials across all elevations and compliance with the Town Residential Design Guidelines. Board member Yuvi Gill moved to approve the item and Matt Ken seconded; on roll call the motion carried with all members voting in favor.
