Clerk/Treasurer Ashley Bondell presented a Midco quote outlining two options for the town's water tank: replace only the hinges for $1,199.00 (shipping included) or replace the full hatch for $3,899.00 (shipping included). Midco advised increasing tank inspections to every three years and said anodes will need replacement in roughly 2.5 years.
Councilwoman Promise Miller moved to buy the hinges for $1,199.00 with Councilman Kyle Vennes seconding; the motion carried 4–0. Bondell said Midco staff indicated the hinges are easily replaced and that Sam Thielen or another town staff member could perform the hinge replacement while contractors are on site to replace anodes, possibly reducing labor burden on the town.
The council did not vote to change inspection intervals at the meeting; Midco's recommendation was recorded for future planning and budgeting.
