Court team and law enforcement recognized at Problem Solving Court graduation

The moderator described the symbolic moment when the arresting officer acknowledges a graduate's change: "At graduation celebrations across the country, it's a symbolic moment when the arresting officer can shake the hand of the person who once put cuffs on him." Detective Amber Marty of the Michigan City Police Department was asked to come forward to congratulate graduates. The remarks underscored the event's emphasis on partnership among courts, treatment providers and law enforcement to support recovery outcomes.
