Shelly Potter, representing Judson AFT, urged the Judson ISD board during public comment to delay any effort to place a tax-rate ratification measure before voters, saying district employees are facing “complete disarray” after frequent leadership and staffing changes.
Potter told trustees that long-serving employees have never seen a start to a school year like this one and described payment and scheduling problems for custodial staff. “Chaos is not a plan,” she said, urging the board to “stop the chaos. Start leading. Please get it together.” She framed her remarks as a warning that internal instability could undermine public support for a voter measure meant to raise district revenue.
