Commissioners agreed the document is large and technical and would benefit from a dedicated hearing so staff, the fire marshal and the public can digest the changes. The water source officer asked for a mid‑September special meeting; the chair asked staff to consider that scheduling and to circulate the material ahead of any hearing. "If we could just schedule a public hearing, like, in the middle of September, that would be a special meeting and gives the commission time to have your other public hearings and then have a good time to digest it," the water source officer said.
