Preliminary review of 8,000 sq ft modern home at 1350 San Raymundo Road prompts grading and drainage questions

At the June 15 meeting the Board held preliminary design review for a proposed Modern-style two-story residence at 1350 San Raymundo Road (approx. 8,000 sq ft, three-car garage) presented by the applicant, Monica Strunk. Board members were generally favorable but sought additional detail on grading and drainage because the lot is sloped; members asked for a physical materials board and further information on how grading would be addressed and how the building bulk would be managed on the hillside.

Because this was a preliminary review the item was not approved or denied; the board's feedback will guide subsequent submittals and the preliminary record notes the need for further detail on driveway access, stormwater/drainage management, and preservation or replacement of trees where feasible.
