Hamilton County commission approves slate of routine resolutions including notaries, awards and emergency communications service

At its Aug. 5 meeting the commission approved a package of routine actions: notary certifications and judicial oaths, awards for Pioneer Academy, park naming, small appropriations to a high school, creation of a sports authority, and procurement of paging system support and playground equipment.
The commission adopted a set of routine resolutions by roll call. Items approved included certifying notaries and judicial commissioners (Resolution 8‑26‑1), awarding funds for Pioneer Academy’s state track championship rings (8‑26‑2), naming the Shackleford Ridge Park Pavilion in memory of Patrick Davison (8‑26‑3) and appropriating $1,500 for East Hamilton High School travel (8‑26‑4).
The commission also authorized creation of the county sports authority (8‑26‑5), authorized a contract with US Bank for financial services (8‑26‑6), approved land purchase for future park space in Appison (8‑26‑7, passed as amended), approved a $19,875 interlocal agreement for Rivermont Park improvements (8‑26‑8), approved $210,516.07 for inclusive playground equipment in Signal Mountain (8‑26‑9), approved a five‑year paging‑system service agreement with Motorola Solutions Inc. for $101,115.67 (8‑26‑10), and accepted a $2,500 donation to the sheriff (8‑26‑11). All items were approved by roll call.
