City staff: Vineyard regional trail work moving ahead; target completion Aug. 20

A city staff member updated the planning commission on the Vineyard regional trail enhancement project, saying construction is progressing and the team is working to connect Center Street to Gemin Park and realign the intersection at Lakeside Park.
"The project end date is August 20," the staff member said, while cautioning that unforeseen issues could push that date back. The project work described includes trail connectivity at several locations (Center Street, Holdaway Road, 404 Hundred South and 620 East) and intersection realignment to improve pedestrian access.
Staff said the project is moving fairly smoothly and will provide additional local trail connectivity when completed.
