Daria Evans, a Villa resident, asked council and staff how often Vineyard parks are watered and whether the city is setting the right example on irrigation. She also asked how many collars have been placed around fire hydrants as part of a safety program and raised a wording/spelling question in business item 6 regarding whether the packet should reference "quiet title" or "quick claim." "Yellow should be the new green and the city needs to set the example," Evans said, noting visible standing water and inconsistent park conditions.
City staff (Brian) responded that he would follow up on watering schedules and hydrant collars and told Evans he believed the DRC would issue the land‑use authority recommendation on the item she cited. Staff noted one recommended amendment in the related resolution to change a reference from "staff" to "land use authority" and said administrative procedures are still being finalized.
