Council affirms Planning Commission chair, vice chair and monthly schedule

Assistant City Manager Braeden Christofferson reported that the Vernal City Planning Commission welcomed two new members and reorganized its leadership in January. The commission elected Steven Lyle as Chair and Samantha Chapoose as Vice Chair and requested Council acknowledgement of the appointments. Councilmember Randel Mills moved to approve the appointments and Councilmember Nick Porter seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Christofferson also presented the Planning Commission schedule—meetings set for the second Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers—and the council approved the schedule on a motion by Councilmember Robin O'Driscoll, seconded by Councilmember Ed Long. Council asked staff to continue supporting the commission’s outreach and review activities.
