"The 2025 event featured approximately 80 professional bull riders, including nationally and internationally recognized competitors," the Lofthouses said.
City Manager Quinn Bennion and Mayor Corey Foley acknowledged the event’s alignment with community identity and its regional draw, while noting the city’s long-term preference that for-profit events move toward self-sustaining operations. On a motion by Councilmember Ed Long, seconded by Councilmember Robin O'Driscoll, the council approved a $1,000 sponsorship; the motion passed unanimously in a roll call vote.
